He Is Gone

I never would have guessed that Sunday, February 19, 2006, would be the last day that I would see him,for the time being. Tuesday night between 8 and 8:30 I got the call. Through sobs on the other line I learned the truth. My face went pale and tears slipped down my face. "How can this be", I asked myself. For the past 4 months I had made it my goal. I talked to him, I laughed with him, I shared with him, I watched him, I listened to him, and most of all, I prayed for him. Never in a million years would I have seen this coming. I knew that not everything was picture perfect, but I thought things were ok. It's hard not to be mad, it's hard not to cry, it's hard to even think about it. One thing did happen and I will never forget it. Sunday morning I had given him a valentine not knowing what impact it would cause. This kind of makes you want to laugh and cry at the same time. The valentine was simple and cute, it read this, "To thank you for the way you shine, here's a cherry valentine". That night he told me that that was the only valentine that he got this year. I thought about that later. God had enabled me to give him that simple little valentine right before everything happened. I thought that that was so cool. See, God works in every single thing, big and small. I'll just keep on praying and I hope you will too. I will miss my friend and it will take awhile for it to sink in, but if God's on my side everything will work out. Thanks for reading. Post later (Lord willing)

Hey guys! Sorry I haven't posted in awhile. I haven't had time. :) I know, I know, that's kind of lame. My birthday went well. I had some family and a few friends over for a mini party, so that was fun. I got a lot of cool things! Cute pj's, a itunes card, FUZZY SOCKS, giftcards, chocolate (my favorite), a Michigan hoodie (so cool), a Rebecca St.James cd, some books, and a lot more. My pink eye is gone! Finally. I did wake up with a pink eye yesterday, but we think that it has to do with seasonal allergies. Not pink eye. YAY! Oh, my dad loaded AIM on, so I'm like so hyped about that. Its fun to talk with you guys. :) Oh, almost forgot! Guess what!? Ok, times up. We got a DOG! He is sooo cute! His name is Copper and he is a beagle. For some reason he likes my bed the best. He jumps up and plops right down infront of me. Pretty interesting. My cat is going through shock therapy! LOL (not really). He is getting used to the fact that he isn't the ruler of the house now. :) Last night I went, with Ty, to a basketball game. That was fun. Our team lost, but is was a new experience just the same. Tonight we have play practice at Emily's, so hopefully that will go well. I think the skit night is next week, I hope we do ok. Well I better get going. I shall, hopefully, post later. Hey guys! I just wanted to share with you some things from my personal devotions. I'm reading through a book called "A Young Woman After God's Own Heart" by Elizabeth George. It is one of the best devotional books that I've ever read!!!!! Well here goes.

"But this you must remember,

This one thing you must know...

I cannot take your burden

Until you let it go"

"Remember, "Never make a decision without prayer"

Three things that you should know about prayer.

1. You cannot think about yourself and others at the same time.

2. You cannot hate the person you are praying for.

3. You cannot neglect the person you are praying for.

"The key to living a life of obedience- a life that stays on God's path- is the heart."

Five Guidelines to Obedience...

1. Concentrate on doing what is right.

2. Cease doing what is wrong.

3. Confess any wrong.

4. Clear things up with others.

5. Continue on as soon as possible.

How to demonstrate a heart of love, when it comes to our family members...

1. Respect one another.

2. Listen to one another.

3. Serve one another.

4. Help one another.

5. Share with one another.

6. Touch one another

(Ex. Hugging, high fiving, pat on the back, etc.)

7. Pray for one another.

8. Encourage one another.

Remember, "What you are at home, is what you are!"

"It's better to have no friends than to have the wrong friends"

The "Ten Commandments of Friendship"

Hey guys! Everything went well last night. I had so much fun with my dad. The ballet was at the State Theater and the performance was put on by the National Ballet of Canada. They were really good. We saw "The Four Seasons" and "The Firebird". My dad was in awe at the way the ballet dancers could stand on their toes (it was his first ballet). Every time I see some kind of performance like that I always long to do something like it. I would love to be a ballet dancer, but I'm too old to do something like that. I love being on the stage. Its something I've always loved.:) Well just thought that I'd fill you in. Better go. Post later. (Lord willing)

I'VE GOT A DATE!!!!!

Hey guys! Guess what!!!!!! I've got a date tonight! I can't wait! We are going to see a ballet up in Cleveland and maybe have dinner out. Its going to be sooo much fun! He was going to take my mom out, but since she is sick I'm going in her place. Well I guess I did forget one little detail :). Lucy, I'm home. Hey guys. Our trip to Michigan went well. I enjoyed visiting my family. We had a great time. Did you guys miss me? It is storming here. Can you believe that! Its storming in the middle of winter when its supposed to be snowing! Its so gross out there. Mud, rain, thunder. Its just beautiful out there. LOL! We had a sleepover at Kristen's. That was a total blast. I had so much fun with you guys. I laughed so hard. Oh, by the way. How did the dinner at church go? Was the movie good? I missed you guys.
